Emily grew up in the small town of Grantham New Hampshire. She graduated from Maine College of Art in May of 2018 with a BFA in Photography, as well as a minor in Creative Writing. Her current works explore the concepts of constructing family and home in a place where they may not be present, while also looking at the life of a college student who is unfamiliar with not having a family so close by. She released a self-published book titled The Camera's Memory as part of her minor capstone that deals with the connection that photography has to memory, as well as exploring some of the themes that she is dealing with in her current photographic work. Emily draws inspiration from many artists, some of which include Laura Letinsky, Bobby Fisher, Larry Sultan, and Cindy Sherman.
